Bird Breeder network

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN — APPROVED BIRD BREEDERS

For the first time in a while, we have space to welcome a small number of new breeders into the Town Gardens & City Pets Approved Breeder Network.

We already work with a network of trusted breeders who supply birds to our store, and we’re now opening applications to carefully selected new breeders who would like to work with us.

We are particularly interested in breeders of:

• Budgies

• Cockatiels

• Finches

• Canaries

We will also consider breeders of Lovebirds, Kakarikis, Conures and other species.

We’re not necessarily looking for the biggest breeders. We’re interested in people who take genuine pride in their birds — from established aviaries to knowledgeable hobby breeders producing smaller numbers of healthy, well-raised youngsters.

Approved breeders can become part of our ongoing sourcing network, meaning we can contact you when we’re looking for the birds you specialise in. Places within our breeder network are limited and applications are reviewed before acceptance.

If you think your birds would be a good fit for Town Gardens & City Pets, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We look forward to hearing from you.

Why join our Approved Breeder Network?

An established outlet for your birds — approved breeders have the opportunity to supply birds directly to Town Gardens & City Pets when we’re looking for stock.

Less time finding individual buyers — potentially place several suitable birds with us rather than advertising youngsters individually and dealing with multiple enquiries.

Ongoing relationship — once we know what you breed, we can contact you when we’re specifically looking for those species, varieties or mutations.

Hobby breeders are welcome — you don’t need to produce large numbers. Smaller breeders producing good-quality birds can be just as valuable to us.

Tell us what you specialise in — your breeder profile means we know who to approach when we’re looking for something particular.

A bricks-and-mortar destination for your birds — birds we purchase enter our established retail environment where customers come specifically for pets, birds and ongoing supplies.

Repeat opportunities — being approved isn’t just about what you have available today. It puts you into the network for future purchasing requirements.

Direct contact with us — if you have birds becoming available, there’s already an established relationship rather than having to introduce yourself from scratch each time.

Become one of our trusted breeders We don’t simply add everyone who applies. Our Approved Breeder Network is intended to build lasting relationships with breeders whose birds and breeding standards are a good fit for our store.

Approval to the network does not guarantee purchases. All birds are considered individually based on our current requirements, suitability, health and condition.
